Expanding Your Communication Toolbelt

Course Description

Credits: Expanding your Communication Skills Toolbelt is approved by ICF and is eligible for 37 CCE's. Type: One eight-hour day each week on Fridays for five consecutive weeks January 16-February 13, 2026. This program empowers coaches to deepen their mastery of foundational coaching competencies through enhanced self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and effective communication techniques. Expect unique presentations and inventive visual bookmarks. Participants will move through a structured process of Aware, Label, Agency, Control, and Own where they will refine skills essential for coaching presence, active listening, powerful questioning. They will expand their ability to foster client growth aligned with ICF Core Competencies. This class is based on the facilitator's book, Owning Your IT: Actionable tools to improve your interpersonal communication. Your cohort will be using an integrated cohort model. HR, project managers, and coaches frequently work with—and rely on—each other in real organizational settings. For this reason, attendees from all three certification bodies participate together. This structure provides richer dialogue, exposes you to multiple approaches to problem-solving, and builds communication skills that transfer directly into cross-functional work.
